The inception of this Gurukulam is profoundly inspired by the divine grace, sacred command, and inner spiritual revelation of Shri Balaji Maharaj.
It is believed that this noble initiative took shape as a result of the divine will (Divya Aadesh) and spiritual inspiration (Divya Prerna) received by Pujya Maharaj Ji, making the Gurukulam not just an institution, but a divinely ordained center of knowledge and संस्कार.
Formally established in the year 2021, the Gurukulam was envisioned as a dedicated effort to revive and re-establish the ancient Indian Gurukul system in its purest essence—where education is a holistic process encompassing knowledge, character, discipline, and spiritual awakening.
The first public announcement of this sacred mission was made in the year 2024 at the Bengaluru Ashram of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, on an auspicious occasion that symbolized the convergence of spiritual intent and national vision.
The academic session 2025–26 marks the foundational operational phase of the Gurukulam, where students from different regions of India have begun their journey in this unique environment of integrated learning. The Gurukulam is presently affiliated with Central Sanskrit University,
which ensures academic credibility, structured curriculum, and alignment with national educational standards.
